Custom Furniture Painting - Dining Table & Chairs
This weekends work...
I was asked by a lovely lady to help transform her dining room furniture. These chairs had already been some upycling before getting to me. The chars originally had an open style back - the client has had this set for some time and wanted a complete new look. She had them re-upholstered locally with a gorgeous teal fabric, they filled in the back and added stud-work to finish off the look. They turned out fantastic. Time for a lick of paint to freshen them up - that is where I come in :)
Before
The client wanted a nice modern clean look with a bit of texture to the finish - Chalk Paint is the obvious choice for this type of finish. Handpainted using Antique White chalk paint by Annie Sloan for the chairs, table legs and surround, finished off with a high gloss varnish for the table top. This dining set has been completely transformed and re-loved to be enjoyed for many more years to come. Take a look at the after shots below.

Sheep Irish Pebble Art Custom Commission
At a recent market, I met a lovely lady who took my card and contacted me shortly after about making a custom pebble art picture as a gift for her brother. She asked if I could create a sheep themed picture....I wasn't entirely sure how I would actually do it, but a little trial and error and a bit of imagination and voila! This custom pebble art picture was made using shells and pebbles collected from Irish beaches, some artificial grass helps to gives it some real depth and casts some amazing shadows! Commissions are very welcome. Please get in touch for more details.
I know I am biased, but I do love these cute little sheep! :)

Custom Commission Frame
A very unique commission....
A beautiful bride wanted a personal thank you gift for her friends mother who made her wedding dress for her big day. How lovely is that?!
I was asked if I could incorporate some fabric from the dress to make the picture - this is what I came up with! Handmade mini mannequin & dress with really cute sewing related theme. The dress is the same style as the dress the bride wore. What do you think? Please excuse the glaring light on the glass, it was so bright out!!Â
I really enjoyed making this one, was great to work with the client on a rough idea, then let my imagination take over with this as the end result. Really happy with how it turned out, and the client and recipient were too. Yay! :)
I love making special pieces to be gifted for that special occasion, please get in touch if you have an idea for a custom frame.Â

Rustic DIY Photo Collage
There's nothing more personal than a photo collage gift. This frame was handmade for a good friends birthday using pine which has been stained grey, with some chicken wire added for that real rustic look. Tiny pegs keep the photos in place, with wooden L initial (for Laura), mini heart blackboard and purple painted star for added personalisation. These make great personal gifts and can be made to order with custom sizes, can even be used as a noticeboard. Please pm for more details.
A Very Special Wedding Gift...
By far, the strangest thing I've ever been asked to make, but absolutely LOVE the finished result! You may recognise these cufflinks from a particular Simpsons episode...
The (Simpsons obsessed!) bride wanted to give these to her (equally obsessed!) groom as a surprise on the morning of their wedding!! The couple even had Simpson's themed invitations and seating plans, so I was more than happy to be a part of their unique day. What a fab & fun gift that was sure to put a smile on his face. The bride asked her father to give them to the groom on the morning of the wedding, just like the episode!Â
I had so much fun making these, and in such a tiny size it was tricky enough but god there in the end! I tried my best to even match the box from the episode too. Made using polymar clay and some cuuflink blanks, then cured in the oven and sealed.
Congratulations to Linda & John, wishing you many happy years together!Â

More Music, Less Talk, More Sitting!
I couldn't resist a play on words (or a couple) for this one!
One of my record stools in the studio of Q102! When I first came up the idea for these stools and made my first protoype, I never could have imagined that they would make their way into the studio of Q102! Thanks to Dave Harrington for getting in touch and for uploading his picture to Q102's facebook page also. Â
More sitting, less standing! Check out the link below

These stools are sturdier than you'd initially think. Whenever I am at markets/fairs people don't believe me that they are strong enough to take the weight of someone sitting on them - so I always tell them to take a test drive! They are made using very firm upholstery foam, so as well as being solid they are also very comfortable. Please get in touch for more info. They would look great in a home bar or home studio also! :)Â
